On the 15th March, on her 21st birthday, Liv Carr took part in the BTR Liverpool half marathon to say thank you to LHCH Charity after we saved her dad’s life.
She said “As many of my close friends and family are aware, a few weeks ago my dad was rushed into hospital where he had a major heart attack. After 20 minutes they eventually got his heart re-started and stabilised him, he got transferred over to Liverpool Heart and Chest where he spent a few days in intensive care and 3 further weeks until he was allowed home.”
“Since then he has recently had an ICD (Implantable cardioverter-defibrillator) fitted to regulate his heart beat, perform cardioversion and defibrillation. He has continuous follow up appointments and rehab there.”
“Our whole family is so incredibly grateful for the work they have done for him and continue to do for him (so we can carry on annoying him) and other patients including both of my Uncle and in the past both of my Grandads. It would be amazing to raise some money to give back just a little bit to them, any donations would be massively appreciated. “
Liv and her family have raised an incredible £800 for LHCH Charity and we are so grateful for all of your support.
